Nuclear Power is Estimated to Emit Less CO2 than Photovoltaic or Wind

Many people seem to take it for granted that nuclear power is unsafe and bad for the environment. But is this really the case?

Nuclear power is comparable to photovoltaic and wind power in that it is CO2 free in the power generation process. In addition, when looked at over the entire life cycle (construction, operation and disposal), CO2 emissions from nuclear power are estimated even lower than those of photovoltaic or wind power.

Japan's CO2 Emissions by Generating Type

Based on the total CO2 emissions for all processes through energy extraction, the plant construction, fuel transportation and refining, and plant operation and maintenance.
