| Three shipments of vitrified residues have been
safely shipped from France to Japan: a first transport of 28 canisters
was carried out in 1995 (from February 23rd to April 25th), and
two other returns (40 canisters from January 13th to March 18th
1997 and 60 canisters from January 21st to March 13th 1998) have
been performed. Two other shipments have been safely completed
by rail in May 1996 and March 1997 to Germany.
These transports have begun the process of residues return from
France to their country of origin; similar transports will be
performed in the years to come on a regular basis. |
