Electricity Supply & Demand 29 December 2000 through 3 January 2001

Normal winter weather conditions prevailed, with a cold air mass straddling northern Japan, a high-pressure front to the west, and a low-pressure front to the east. Power supply and demand were normal, and a stable power supply was maintained

1. Demand Result (Total across 10 Companies)

The minimum figures for maximum and minimum demand and daily totals, as well as the aggregate power totals, posted large increases over the previous year due to increased demand caused by lower temperatures.
