Demand Overview (Total Across the 10 Power Companies)
○ Total demand in May was up 2.6% on last year to 62.0 billion kWh across
the 10 companies.
○ Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
Although commercial demand posted a rise of 2.5%, a shorter meter reading
period resulted in a small rise of 1.1% for lighting.

increasing by 4.7%. The increase resulted from firm performance in most
sectors except textile. The steel sector recorded a double-digit increase.
