Demand Overview (Total across the 10 Power Companies)

　○　Total demand in November was down 1.7% on last year to 63.95 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

　○　Although commercial demand was up 1.6%, lighting demand posted a rise of only 0.7% due to a shorter meter-reading period.

　・　Demand Excluding Extra High Voltage Demand Lighting Demand (up 0.7%, 19.48 billion kWh)

　・　Commercial Demand (up 1.6%, 11.92 billion kWh)

　○　Large industrial user demand in November was down for the tenth consecutive month, falling by 5.5%. The decline was due to generally sluggish industrial production that depressed performance in all sectors, with particularly poor results noted in the steel and the non-ferrous sectors.
