○Total demand in 2002 was up 2.1% on last year to 841.5 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

○ Demand Excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
Commercial and lighting demand both posted increases of 2.1% and 3.5% respectively, due to increased demand for heating caused by lower temperature in winter.

(Reference) Large Industrial Demand
Large industrial user demand in 2002 was up for the first time in 2 years, increasing by 2.0%.

The rise was due to a recovery in production in all the sectors except chemicals, the steel, the textile and the ceramics sectors.
