Total demand in February was down 3.7% on last year to 69.6 billion
kWh across the 10 companies.
Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
Commercial and lighting demand both posted declines of 2.4% and 1.9% respectively.
The declines were due to decreased demand for heating, caused by higher
temperatures in January and February.

Large industrial user demand in February was down for the thirteenth
consecutive month, falling by 5.2%.
The decline was due to generally sluggish industrial production that depressed
performance in all sectors, with particularly poor results noted in the
chemicals and the non-ferrous sectors.
