Total demand in June was down 0.7% on last year to 64.2 billion kWh across the 10 companies.


Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
Despite a shorter meter-reading period, lighting demand posted an increase of 0.7%, due to increased demand for cooling caused by higher temperatures in the beginning and middle of June. Commercial demand posted a decline of 0.2 %.

Large industrial user demand in June was down for the seventeenth consecutive month, falling by 1.4%.

The decline resulted from poor performance in all sectors except steel and chemical sectors.
