○ Total demand in April was up 6.2% on last year to 67.2 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
○ Commercial and lighting demand both posted increases of 7.0% and 10.8% respectively, due to increased demand for heating caused by lower temperatures primarily in March.

Large industrial user demand in April was up for the tenth consecutive month, increasing by 2.7%.

The increase resulted from firm performance in all sectors except the textile sector. Performance in the chemicals and steel sectors was particularly good.
