Demand Overview (Total across the 10 Power Companies)

　○　Total demand in June remained even at 64.2 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

(Demand Excluding Extra High Voltage Demand)

　○　A shorter meter-reading period resulted in a decline of 0.8% in lighting demand. Commercial demand, however, posted a rise of 1.8%.

　　・　Lighting Demand (down 0.8%, 17.04 billion kWh)
　　・　Commercial Demand (up 1.8%, 13.03 billion kWh)

　○　Large industrial user demand in June was up for the twelfth consecutive month, increasing by 0.8%. The increase resulted from firm performance in the chemical, steel, and machinery sectors.
