*Total demand in January 2004 was down 1.8% on January 2003 to 76.2 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
*Lighting demand was down 3.2% and commercial demand remained even. The result was due to decreased demand for heating caused by higher temperatures from December to early January.
