Electricity Demand in May 2004 (Bulletin)

2004/6/21
FEPC

[Demand Overview (Total Across the 10 Power Companies)]

Total demand in May was up 0.6% to 64.8 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

Demand Excluding Extra High Voltage Demand

Commercial and lighting demand posted increases of 1.3% and 0.1% respectively. The increase in lighting demand came despite a shorter meter-reading period.

Note: Year-on-year changes in commercial power calculated by adjusting figures for the same period one year ago to match 2004 demand categories (for reference only).
