Electricity Demand in November 2004 (Confirmed Report)
2004/12/27
FEPC
[Demand Overview (Total Across the 10 Power Companies)]
Total demand in November was up 1.2% on last year to 65.6 billion kWh across the 10 companies.
(Demand Excluding Extra High Voltage Demand)
- Lighting Demand (up 0%, 19.74 billion kWh)
- Commercial Demand (up 2.2%, 9.12 billion kWh)
Commercial demand posted an increase of 2.2%. Lighting demand, however, remained even due to a shorter meter-reading period.
Note: Year-on-year changes in commercial power calculated by adjusting figures for the same period one year ago to match 2004 demand categories (for reference only).
(Reference)
- Large Industrial Demand (up 2.3%, 22.03 billion kWh)
Large industrial user demand in November was up for the eleventh consecutive month, increasing by 2.3%. The rise was due to firm performance in the machinery, the steel and the chemicals sectors.
