Establishment of a new organization, the Atomic Energy Association (ATENA), on July 1, 2018 in an effort to strengthen initiatives for the autonomous and continuous improvement of safety

The nuclear industry (nuclear operators, manufacturers, and other nuclear organizations) established the New Nuclear Power Organization Establishment Preparation Office in April of this year to deliberate on the establishment of a new organization in which the nuclear industry will participate.

Today, the Nuclear Power New Organization Establishment plenary session was held, at which it was decided that the Atomic Energy Association (ATENA) would be established on July 1, 2018 and decisions were also made about the ATENA’s bylaws, officers and other specifics of the new organization.
