Concerning the Schedule for the Arrival of the Sixth Shipment of Vitrified Waste to Japan

The above parties have announced that "Pacific Swan," the transport ship that departed Cherbourg, France on 19 December2000 carrying the sixth shipment of vitrified waste, will reach Japanese territorial waters at approximately 10:00 on 20 February. Estimated time of arrival at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara, Rokkasho-Mura, Aomori prefecture is 12:00 noon the same day.

 

Unloading of the transport casks is scheduled to begin on 21 February at 07:20. The ship is scheduled to leave the port at approximately 15:30 same day.

 

Please note that the schedule may be postponed due to weather conditions.
