*Total demand in February 2004 was up 1.7% on February 2003 to 73.5 billion kWh across the 10 companies.

Demand excluding Extra High Voltage Demand
*Commercial and lighting demand posted declines of 2.0% and 1.3% respectively. The increases were due to increased demand for heating caused by lower temperatures from mid January to early February in most part of Japan.
