Total demand in June was up 1.2% on last year to 62.3 billion kWh across the ten companies.

1. Residential & Commercial Demand
Although demand for cooling was not as high as last June, both residential and commercial demand rose, increasing by 2.6% and 2.3% respectively due to a longer meter reading period and higher temperatures in the first half of June.

2. Large Industrial Demand
Demand from large industrial users was down for the eighteenth consecutive month, falling by 0.7%.
Although non-ferrous metals and the transport machinery sector held firm, other industrial sectors continued to be affected by the depressed economy. Performance in the cement sector was particula
