During the transition period, no major disruptions to the electric power supply or facility operations occurred as a result of Y2K-related computer problems. However, 18 instances of system anomalies that did not result in any disruption were reported.

2. FEPC & Member Company Response Efforts

During the transition period, Y2K response teams headed by vice-president-level management personnel were on duty at each electric power company. A total of 18,020 personnel were involved in the response effort (including FEPC staff and 4780 employees on regularly scheduled duty). FEPC personnel gathered information about the situation overseas and at each company, and issued situation reports via the internet.
