In 1952, the nine major electric power companies established the Federation of Electric Power Companies (FEPC). The Okinawa Electric Power Company became an observing member of the FEPC in September 1989. |

In accordance with Article 28 of the Electric Power Business Law, wide-area electric power administration has as its objective the stable supply of electric power and efficient use of electric power facilities. While taking maximum advantage of the management strengths of individual power providers, it follows the spirit of Article 28 in calling for mutual cooperation in the development and operation of facilities, and the effective advancement of technology development. |
