Press Release Concerning the Completion of the Thirteenth Return Shipment of Vitrified Waste to Japan

The thirteenth return shipment of vitrified waste from abroad to Japan was completed today as follows:

Name of the receiving facility: Vitrified Waste Storage Center of Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited

Quantity of received waste: 28 canisters of vitrified waste (in a single transport cask)

Owners of the vitrified waste: four utilities (Tokyo Electric Power Company, Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc., and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc.)

 

 

Reference: The total number of canisters received by the Vitrified Waste Storage Center to date is 1,338 canisters (13 shipments).
